Our Goal:
To call on our government to expand critical programs like the Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, and Teach for America.
To this end, we have begun an effort to collect thousands of student signatures showing our support for bigger, better, more accessible opportunities to serve: locally, nationally, and globally.
Our Petition:
We, the undersigned students, care deeply about the many challenges that confront us today at home and abroad such as poverty, hunger, environmental crises, educational disparities, inequality and violence.
We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to participate in positive change through public service.
We call upon the 2008 presidential candidates to expand national service programs
so that we, as a generation, can get to work.
